Mom came into town and we had a great day seeing a show at the Playhouse and then going out to a delicious early dinner with Susie and topping the night off with ice cream. I love having a wonderful girls day!

William had his first Rowing scrimmage today. We ended up not going, but I was tracking him all the same. He said they did "OK" for their first competition and he had fun. Here is where they were in Des Moines:
Reminded of our fun annual miniature golf game in Okoboji last week. The kids do it every year with Grandma and Lisa and I joined in this year.
Yosi is really a sweetie - I would easily have a dog if we could have one this easy and fun. She developed a few favorite places in the house, especially if the boys were gone and she couldn't be with them. Tonight she was just with me as William was working, Andrew playing with friends, and Jim bike riding.
First swim meet of the MVCC season and both of the boys did great (especially after only a few days of practice). I love watching them swim and could care less which place they finish. I more admire them for their sportsmanship and trying hard.
Yosi likes both boys, but may lean a bit towards Andrew. Here she is while he is reading in bed and also while he is using the bathroom. She doesn't like being too far from him. I think she can sense his kind, loving heart.
The boys have been doing so well with Yosi - taking her for two walks a day. I finally got a chance when Jim and the boys were at Scouts tonight. We had a nice one. She is such a sweet girl. Of course, as soon as they were back, Yosi wanted Andrew :)
Yesterday afternoon, William took a nap after getting up early for Rowing. Yosi that was a great idea and joined him :)
We are dog sitting! Yosi, William's friend Tristan's dog, is with us from last night until next Sunday. The boys are mainly in charge and doing great so far. Andrew declared he "loves Yosi" when I got up this morning, despite her getting him up at 7:00am.
PS. I love having these three days at home after Okoboji. It feels like another vacation! We got home yesterday after six great days in Okoboji. I was lucky enough that Jim drove both there and back, leaving me time to cuddle with my boys in the back seat of his truck :)
