Errands this morning, but then a "catch-up at home" afternoon. Much needed! Apparently also needed was sleep by Andrew - this is when I got home this morning at 11:45. He was still asleep!

Fun surprise visit from Jennifer and Kyle. They spent a hot night at the pool with us and it was great to reconnect. William apparently loved seeing them more than the rest of us based on the pictures :)
Nice timing of today's calendar message - It is my other Book Club tonight. Five of the six of us were there and we had a leisurely three hour discussion and friendship hug. Sometimes I can get too tunnel-visioned to parenting and work - so grateful for the push to get with dear friends.
I have been slacking on the Swim Meet pictures. Both William and Andrew had a good one tonight. Only one more dual meet before prelims (and potentially finals). Proud of my swimmers!
Stayed up until midnight to finish this book for SVdP Book Club tonight - It was interesting but not one I would rush out to recommend. Still, nice to get together with all the Book Club ladies - I missed May and it was great to catch up.
A story in two pictures. The first - Andrew's Scout Troop before they headed home from a week of a cold, rainy camp. The second - how I found Andrew after he came home from his friend's pool party when he told me he was just going to relax "for a few minutes" before he went to bed. :) So glad to have my sweet one home.
Family night at Boy Scout Camp! My heart broke initially as I saw Andrew. He was exhausted and not feeling well. He had to sleep outside in the woods last night with just a tarp and basically alone for one of his merit badges (wilderness survival). He had an hour of sleep and was sick to his stomach. The first hour, he barely talked, threw up three times, and wasn't himself at all. After a comfortable chair, some mom love, and some ibuprofen, he was feeling much better. Thank Goodness! He toured us around his camp and we were able to see him receive the "Golden Horseshoe" in front of all of the kids for his outstanding work in Advanced Horsemanship from the Equestrian leader. So proud of him and so anxious to have him home tomorrow!
So excited to see Andrew tomorrow night. And, grateful they had a day free of rain and to the other parents who capture him and share pictures while he is away from us.
