I LOVE these new sandals. I saw them on someone, asked where they got them, and was not surprised to hear Target. I just HAD to go get them (and a new purse I also love!)

Mother's Day is special with these two. I really do feel lucky. They are both such great kids and so very different and unique. Talk about being blessed!!
I have a job interview this afternoon and William has been fascinated by the process. He sent me these sweet notes from his carpool on the way to school. Regardless of where I work, I thankfully know where my most important "job" is - this sweet family!
Not much makes my heart swell more than these two playing together. It's all my parenting dreams coming true in the simple moments.
When Jim was gone on Monday night and I was feeling very badly, William got worried and insisted on sleeping with me. What a sweet kid. I never thought my 15 year old son would still want to cuddle with me like he did when he was younger. It also took me back to when I was sick in 2010 and how W took it upon himself to be with me on the nights Jim was gone. He is a special one, this kid. Grateful.
Been feeling awful and went to the doctor today at Jim's urging - he was right. I have an upper respiratory infection and have all sorts of medications now. Hopefully on the mend. In the meantime, Jim is home from his work trip to Des Moines and we were all relaxing in the living room together at 4:45. A bit of bliss.
Since William is only going to be a substitute at the pool this summer for life guarding, he created this flyer for me to post on our neighborhood Facebook page. We'll see if he gets any hits!
Speaking of sleeping kids - both Andrew and I are not feeling great (colds), so he was having problems sleeping at night. He came in and laid with me until he feel asleep. It has been so long since he did that!
Andrew helped out at Davis today with yard work as part of his service hours for next year's NJHS. Proud of him for being such a willing volunteer. He never complains at all.
