PS - Another picture from our "mystery trip" - he was sitting next to me on the trolley ride over to Adventureland.
![]() Have I mentioned how odd it is to have William come home on the bus and into the house all by himself? He's doing great and I love our alone time chatting before anyone else gets home. Today was the first day of his "normal" schedule - he was full of stories of PE, lunch, and his classes. He also got his homework done on the bus ride home and says it should be called "bus work." Poor kid also had football practice tonight from 5:30-6:30 and then Boy Scouts from 7:00-8:30. He's finally showered and in bed now at 9:03. I am so grateful he is a good kid who handles tight schedules and responsibility well. I'm proud! ![]() Today was a nice day. We visited Karen in her rehab facility and then did some family errands. Jim and I spent time finally putting the finishing touches on some new frames for the basement. We found the plaque in Okoboji this year and decided to feature all Okoboji pictures - I love how it turned out and that nearly nine years into living in our home, we are still adding special things :) Successful first day of school! William made it off well on the bus (although it was late) and I got to go to his pep rally where he was called up to speak. Awesome! He said that the day went well and that he felt good about it. Andrew also got off fine (both Jim and I took him up there) and he says Mrs. Ball is "great." So thankful that they had such great days!
An emotional day for me. It's hitting me more and more that William heads to Middle School tomorrow, Andrew is in 4th grade and at elementary all by himself, and the routine the boys and I had that worked so well for four years comes to an end tomorrow morning. I have faith that it will all work the way it should and head to bed grateful that my boys are growing up to be such great people!
Back to work and spent the night at the boys' school orientations. William's was CRAZY for middle school and he's disappointed he didn't get a social studies teacher he wanted, but still excited. And, take a look at Andrew's pictures. I'd say he's excited too! Grateful to share another new journey with my boys!
