William had his first Davis Middle School Swim Meet today and did great. He took second in his 50 free and 50 backstroke. He was also in a free relay that barely lost to the 8th grade team. More important, he seems to love it!

This is what William looks like when I put him to bed each night. I read to him from 9:00-9:30 each school night. Right now we are reading Allegent. He still cuddles up to me while I read. I love it!
This is what my little one looks like at bedtime. He likes to build legos while I read from 8:30-9:00 each school night. I tucked him in as normal, but he later asked me to lay with him to help him go to sleep. When I did around 10:00, he decided to let me know that "I wanted to tell you that I no longer believe in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny." It caught me a bit off guard, but was so sweet to talk to him about it. I talked about wanting to share the magic of the season and he understood. He said that he believed 100% two years ago but each month since had decreased in his % of belief. Also, said things like "It's physics Mom. Santa would have to have a HUGE sleigh to carry all those presents. And, I just learned in science that there is no way for human life to sustain itself in the North Pole." It was a good conversation. Andrew ended by saying that "We don't need to tell William. But, maybe we need to tell him when he is 15. And, you can still give me presents from Santa. I don't mind."
Over three hours with my youngest sweetie in his room, equals an amazing space! He did such a good job helping sort and clean. So proud of him!
My kids blow me away sometimes. William asked me to take him to the store. Turns out he wanted to use his own money to buy Gatorade for every kid and coach on his swim team to celebrate the start of the season. When I told him I would pay, he refused and made the cashier take his money. Love him!
Last night, between swim team practice, dinner, and basketball practice, Jim and I took William to visit Northwest High School. One of the places that William wanted to see was a "Fire Chemistry" classroom. He was so excited when they set him on "fire"!
Another chance to try a new recipe this week. This one was even a bigger favorite than the last one:
